Matt Mason, Director of Client Services

As our Director of Client Services, Matt oversees our Account Management department, leading our Clients’ businesses, offering strategic and marketing insights, and mentoring our team of account and project managers.  

Matt joins One Creative Group from Young & Rubicam, known for producing some of the most Client-focused and strategic account people in the business, where he was one of the youngest account directors in Y&R’s 90-year history. Matt’s client and category experience is extensive, ranging from some of the biggest and most well known brands in the world to early start-ups just getting off the ground.  He’s worked in retail, DTC / pharmaceutical, CPG (food, consumer goods, automotive, beauty), finance, and non-profit categories.  Matt has worked on blue chip brands like ExxonMobil, Lowe’s, Xerox, UNCF, and Born This Way Foundation.   

Matt is a strategically driven Client partner with a proven record of solving business problems with creative marketing solutions, activating brand culture and strategies across touch points, and identifying and generating incremental revenue opportunities for his Clients.  He has a knack for creating more effective and streamlined processes, infusing business and consumer insights into our messaging and tactics, and offering strategic counsel when it comes to managing multi-agency integrated teams.

With a strong focus on integrated marketing communications, Matt has been involved in all aspects of activating brand positions and creative ideas across all consumer touch points.  He has helped Clients navigate the process of managing multiple agencies, budgets, and personalities and maximize the impact of the Client’s brand and budgets.  He successfully created and implemented a unique range of tools and processes on Pace, Prego, Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Rubbermaid, and Goldman Sachs.   

Originally, Matt hails from the Minnesota. He’s a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, where he was a founding member of the student-run ad agency, MOJO Advertising.  Currently, Matt lives in Rockaway Beach, just outside of Manhattan with his wife, Angela, and infant son, Tyler. He is an enthusiastic foodie, and is as passionate about cooking as he is about eating.   He has an infectious sense of altruism and optimism, making him enjoyable to work with and for.
